BURBERRY SPRING/SUMMER 2015 RUNWAY PALETTE

The Burberry Spring/Summer 2015 Runway Palette is a limited edition piece that contains a powder blush and highlighter.  It features a fun and quirky "Rain or Shine" motif from the Prorsum collection was originally hand-painted in the Burberry studio, which reflects the synergy between Burberry fashion and beauty.  The pretty shimmers are an overspray, so they will disappear after a few uses.

The colours are taken from the womenswear collection: Pink Azalea and Bright Coral red sit alongside a nude cloud on a Hydrangea Pink background.
Below: the palette photographed in low light without a strobe to depict the shimmers.
And, here is how the palette looks when the overspray is gone.
Packaging
The palette is consistent with Burberry's other blush compacts.  Very sleek and gorgeous in its gunmetal finish, magnetic enclosure and subtle Burberry check pattern.
The palette comes with a black velvet pouch also with the Burberry check.  A little brush applicator is included and is housed in its own pocket.
The brush is made of natural bristles - very soft, flat and angled to assist effortless blending on the cheeks.

Swatches
Below are my initial swatches of the individual colours with the overspray.  For reference, I have medium, olive (~NC30) skin tone.

Overall
This is a a beautiful muted rose pink shade.  It's ever so wearable and a natural-looking, enlivening flush of colour on the cheeks.  On my medium, olive skin, it looks so natural that I'd say it could be worn with just about any makeup look.  Even though it seems like a very soft shade when swatched, it actually really does show up on my cheeks much more easily with a brush in just a layer or two.  The highlighter itself is not shimmery at all - instead, it just gives the slightest, most natural-looking glow and a touch of brightness.  The powder texture is soft and silky and blends seamlessly and beautifully.  So achieving just enough pigment takes little product and little effort.  I also appreciate the longevity of the blush - having worn it for at least seven hours with little fading on my current normal to dry skin condition and no primer.  I've worn this a lot since I purchased it and it's quickly become my go-to blush.  I'm happy to add this to my collection as it's probably the most natural looking, easy-to-wear cheek colour of all the shades that I have.  So pretty!  I highly recommend you snatch this up!
