Collection Spotlight! Oh Honestly, Erin by My Pretty Zombie!

Purchased

Inspired by the owner of My Pretty Zombie's best friend Erin! The collection is a bright mix of mattes, shimmers and even a single glitter filled shade.

I imagine that to understand the shadow name references, you'd have to read Erin's associated blog post, most specifically Blue Collar Boyfriend and Frown of the Day.

Ginger Jesus and Melon Shirt are the two fully matte shades but Blue Collar Boyfriend and Wacky Worm are matte eye shadows with shimmer added to them. Frown of the Day is the shade that has black glitter in it and Bayernhof has a satin-shimmer finish.

MPZ's matte formula is awesome and vibrant as usual. The collection overall is pretty much a rainbow.

From the website: Sparkly bubblegum pink shimmer

Eye Shadow Ingredients: mica, titanium dioxide, carmine, ultramarines, iron oxide, magnesium myristrate

Personal Comments: A bright red with a satin finish and gold shimmer. Applied over Urban Decay Primer Potion and Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy. This picture was taken outside in natural light.

From the website: coveralls navy blue with green shimmer.

Eye Shadow Ingredients: mica, titanium dioxide, ferric ferrocyanide, silicon dioxide, ultramarines, magnesium myristrate

(VEGAN)

Personal Comments: A dark matte blue eyeshadow base with shimmer added. The shimmer in this color is actually pretty minimal (or it gets lost in the blue) and I didn't see very much of it. Applied over Urban Decay Primer Potion and Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy. This picture was taken outside in natural light.

From the website: cloudy grey with piles of black glitter

Eye Shadow Ingredients: mica, titanium dioxide, iron oxide, cosmetic glitter, magnesium myristrate

(VEGAN)

Personal Comments: This shade is a little weird. It's a sheer silver with black glitter in it. At first glance, the glitter just makes the eyeshadow look slightly dirty, as if you'd knocked something into it or smudged a dark shadow into it. Applied over Urban Decay Primer Potion and Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy. This picture was taken outside in natural light.

From the website: Matte khaki/grated ginger/brownish yellow

Eye Shadow Ingredients: mica, iron oxide, ultramarines, silicon dioxide, magnesium myristrate

(VEGAN)

Personal Comments: A completely matte, mustard yellow shade. As I've said before, MPZ has an awesome matte formula and Ginger Jesus felt really smooth. Applied over Urban Decay Primer Potion and Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy. This picture was taken outside in natural light.

From the website: Matte Orange

Eye Shadow Ingredients: mica, iron oxide, titanium dioxide, carmine, magnesium myristrate

Personal Comments: Yep. Like the description says, a completely matte bright orange color. It's a very bold and vibrant shade. Applied over Urban Decay Primer Potion and Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy. This picture was taken outside in natural light.

From the website: bright green with yellow shimmer

Eye Shadow Ingredients: mica, chromium oxide green, titanium dioxide, blue #1 lake, yellow #5 lake, hydrogenated polisobutene, palmitic acide, cosmetic glitter, magnesium myristrate

 (VEGAN)

Personal Comments: A matte grassy green shade with shimmer added to it. Applied over Urban Decay Primer Potion and Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy. This picture was taken outside in natural light.
